This webinar provides a general overview of the structure and content of the Measures of Effective Teaching (MET) Longitudinal Database and discusses the components of the AERA-MET Dissertation Fellowship Program. It includes a discussion on the quantitative assessment and qualitative video information in the database. The webinar highlights some of the key research questions and topics related to teaching and instruction, the effects of the classroom and school climate, student achievement, children and youth, and other educational issues that scholars are addressing with this robust database. The webinar and related materials are intended to help potential fellowship applicants.
The AERA-MET Dissertation Fellowship Program provides funding for doctoral dissertation research and professional development opportunities to graduate students using the MET data to advance knowledge about teaching and learning.
